Hello,

I am considering getting registered to the Electoral Roll.

However, when I search people's names, I often see in google their full and address, which makes me to believe it is from the electoral roll.

Will my details in case I get into the electoral roll be secure?

Can anyone advise me ?

You can ask to be removed from the open register - that way you are not included on the public search.

If you are eligible you are legally obliged to register

If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

The open register is the saleable register-you can opt out out on the electoral form
