Hi All,
Obviously this question is subject to the person having good or at least reasonable health but what age would you be happy to reach?

Personally I'd say 90, though it may be a little ambitious. Life expectancy in our area is 86, and I guess nobody wants to be average!0

I always say reach 80 ands that's good......but every year after is a plus0

Age 75, living alone, but with a friend who comes over at weekends, still working, still driving, enjoying holidays, enjoying my dogs and my family - I hope that this situation continues for many, many years, but I appreciate that things can change in the blinking of an eye - so I am "age-proofing" my home, my way of life and I am de-cluttering and leaving instructions for my family after my death - which I shall update every 10 years! :-D0

My MIL is 97 - at home, bedridden. Been a steady decline for 10 years and rapid in 2018.
No thank youNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0 -
40 is good for me!0

Until someone notices I've got dementia or earlier if I become a lump watching TV all day!0

Surely the important question is not how many years you live but what you do with the years you have?0

Was it Billy Connely who said on his 70th birthday - I would like to live another 40 years but can I have them now please.

I'd want to live till a time when (lack of) quality of life dictates that I'd be better off dead. That can happen at any age, be it 0, 10, 30, 50, or 110!Signature Removed by Forum Team ..thanks to somebody reporting a witty and decades-old Kenny Everett quote as 'offensive'!!0
