Pl can somebody help!

Have just noticed electricity usage is much higher this month at 207 kwh for 37 day Last month it was 163 for 35 days. Nothing has changed except I have upgraded to BT smart hub.Can a wireless router uses that much electricity. Thanks

    Think that the BT router only uses about 6Kwh per month if left permanently powered up.

    Must be something else switched on to account for your usage increase.

    Assuming that these are your own readings taken from the meter itself you are talking about a very small increase of 5 to 6 units a day. As others have said - fridge, freezer, cooling fan. Whether it is 5 or 6 that is very small.

    Thanks I have compared my electricity bills and it varies some months I have used more. I only took notice as I have just switched energy. I have been reassured that a smart hub will not use that much that was my concerns.
