Ppi claim

Back in 1999 and 2000 I had an oasis storecard as well as an HSBC credit card. I don’t have any paperwork but I know I paid PPI. Is it worth me making a claim. And has anyone else been in similar circumstances and had success?

It's too late for a claim if you no longer have a policy but you can make a complaint if you believe you were mis sold.
It's unlikely they will still have any details of you though.0 -
Success will depend on what records are left given so long has gone by. The oasis card is pre-regulation so would depend on whether they refuse the complaint or not, unlikely to have much luck with New Day/Santander
HSBC you can complain yes but again depends when it was closed as to the likelihood they have anything left
Do remember you need to complain about being miss-sold, you don't get a refund just by asking and without any proof of records of anything being paid it's unlikely you'd get anythingSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
