Reclaiming PPI on account opened in 2006

My husband has a Shop Direct Finance credit account with Littlewoods which he first opened in 2006. He has definitely been paying some kind of protection insurance on this over the years as we do have statements to show this. He doesnt ever remember agreeing to this but has also never really noticed that he was even paying it!
The account is still open and active at present, will he still be able to claim for the PPI?
Also if I use the resolver tool online to do this, it asks to upload the statements... baring in mind this is going back to 2006, do we need to have every monthly statement??
I doubt we would ever be able to find 12 years worth!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated as im just not sure what the best way to go about this is!
Thank you

Why not just make your complaint to Littlewoods directly?0

If the account is still active (or recently closed) they should have your account details still live so you don't need to send statements unless they ask.
Just complain direct to Littlewoods to save using a middlemanSam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Ok I’ll give it a try going straight to Littlewoods then.
I had read somewhere that another person had previously sent their letter to shop direct so I just assumed that you had to go through them.
Thanks for your help both.0 -
You go to whoever sold you the PPI.
The point is just to not bother asking Resolver to send the complaint off for you.0 -
I am going through the same issue with LIttlewoods and am dealing with them direct!0
