I have installed Bleachbit onto my laptop. But I am a little nervous to use it. Can anyone help me with what I should be doing?

Run preview first, make sure passwords are not ticked under your web browsers (Firefox, Internet Explorer, etc). I think other than those it should be OK with default settings. Do not tick the wipe free space option.
Once you have run the preview, go for clean. It will take a while.0
