Dear Forumites,
I appealed for PCN received on 05/01/18 on 11/01/2018. PCN was from Smart Parking for location Astle Retail Park, West Brom.
I contested the PCN online and used the template as per forum guidelines, however not had any acknowledgement or response yet from the Smart Parking.
Anyone knows how long before they respond? Do I need to resubmit or send any registered snail mail?

They are supposed to acknowledge within 14 days, and give you a decision in 35. I would wait and see.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

Its been definitely more than 14 days. But can they come back and say that they never received any response after the PCN.
In the absence of acknowledgement, can it be the case?

The acknowledgement was in the submission pages, when you clicked to send it, the page acknowledged it even if it only said 'thankyou for your appeal'.
There is no 'absence of acknowledgement' with online appeals. Forget the 14 days thing, and even the 35 days, it's not a show stopper.
Once it's at about 40 days, if still silent, you could email Smart and/or the BPA to complain.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Nothing else was mentioned but that doesn't matter.
