Government Energy Price Capping

I listened to Martin this morning on the ITV Good Morning Show in respect to the Government actions and its effect on the tariffs and those most effected (older generation and non-IT savvy) which led me to think that maybe the 'better' approach of the Government would be to mandate all suppliers to ensure that they place and maintain all OAPS on their cheapest tariff at all times (without any intervention required). That would ensure those most effected would be protected by legislation at all times.

And then those that ARE capable of reviewing /changing energy tariffs and suppliers are left to do so then if we fail to act and make the correct choices then only we are to blame to paying the higher energy costs...

...just a thought...
