Carbon filter material for kitchen composters?

I bought a small kitchen compost bin and it has a slot in the lid for a carbon pad which absorbs the odour. I've run out of the ones that came with the bin and was hoping I could buy this kind of material cheaply as a large sheet which I can cut to size - buying the correct size filters for this specific bin is expensive!
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I'm looking for and where I might find it?

Try carbon filters for cooker hoods as a starter. Beware that some hoods have a canister carbon filter, while some use the carbon sheet you want...0
