Ukcps to ignore or not ignore??

Hi guys just looking for up to date advice on how to deal with the UKCPS parking charge that I received back in April 2017.
So just to give a bit of context I work near a shopping centre and our building has 3 allocated spots at the premises that are private (although there is no sign stating this) so when I get to work there is someone in my space and as I am running late I park my car one spot over, which happens to be behind the building next door. As this building is empty and no business is being run from it at this time I thought this would be fine as have noticed cars park in these spots on numerous occasions and saw there was no tickets issued. However low and behold the one day I park there I get a ticket !!
After reading some of the older threads I decided to ignore the initial 'invoice' which I was unable to read anyway due to it falling apart as it had been raining and was completely soaked through :T. I am now on my second letter stating 'I have 14 days to reply' and 'if we have to write to you again an increase in the amount will be incurred'. They also state that if we have to go to court blah blah blah this will cost me and as x amount of time has passed I no longer have the right to appeal.
I guess my biggest question with this one is - is it likely that this will end up in court and if so am I most likely to lose ? Any help/advice with this one is much appreciated as it's driving me a bit
Thanks

No you should not ignore, everything you need to know is in the newbies thread which is kept up to date!
You could also start by contacting the centre management to get this cancelled.0 -
One hell of a question! Whether this ends in court depends largely on UKCPS. Whether you lose depends on how you defend your case. I suspect that answers your question as well as anyone can.I guess my biggest question with this one is - is it likely that this will end up in court and if so am I most likely to lose ?
UKCPS huff and puff about 'court', but I've not seen many defended cases of theirs ending up in a courtroom for some months.
You're in a position of having sent in your initial appeal to show some willingness to have engaged in their process to resolve this, you now wait to see what their next move is.
Essential reading for you is contained in the NEWBIES FAQ sticky. You need to gain a good understanding of what this is about to be able to confidently tackle it. There is nothing to be afraid of.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
