Abbey - No Wonder I left them!

I couldnt believe it when i received a statment of my old abbey account through today, I closed this account down years ago and filled out all the paper work to confirm this...yet...
I'm still getting statments through even though I have told them TWICE now about this and i'm yet receiving rubbish junk mail from them, yet again after telling them I dont want it.
Today I tried ringing their "Helpful" (yes that sarcasm) Callcenter. After waiting for ages I got through to what seems to be their call centre in India. After telling them my old account number 3 times I told them that I was getting annoyed by the situation and that I DIDNT WANT ANY MORE Statements or Junk from Abbey.
She mentioned that I had NEVER sent closure to the bank and that it was my fault (urr im sure I spent a good hour in the bank sorting that).
She then went on saying i would have to go back to the bank and that i couldnt be helped any further. I then said back to her that this was unacceptable and that i wanted to speak to someone that could deal with it...
She gave me a nasty "Hold the line while i transfer you"....
what that actually meant was " P*SS off, I'm going to hang up on you now!"
I'm just glad i dont have to deal with them on a daily basis, I previously shut my account down because they managed it badly, VERY BADLY.
Anyway thats my rant...!

Send back the statements and junkmail to them in envelopes without a stamp on them. They may soon get the message."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Don't mean to be a party pooper, but sending statements in an envelope without a stamp is asking for trouble as if they fell into the wrong hands someone could use them for ID purposes, and then this account which has annoyed you so much could get even more frustrating!!0
