Stayed with EON but dual switch didn't

Last year I signed up to eon and got a dual tariff account. The fixed account was coming to an end and I decided to stick with eon this year as well. Renewed it all online in February.

I received a letter today saying my electricity prices were going up. Had a look at my online account and whilst my gas was fixed, the electricity wasn't. No idea why both weren't switched, and very frustrated.

I've tried doing an online switch for electricity without success. Looks like I'll have to ring.

Has anyone else had the same problem?

EDIT: Looks like I can't switch to a 1 year fixed tariff like my gas either.

    As you've discovered, E.ON have withdrawn their one year fixed deals. If you applied to switch both, do you have any e-mails confirming it? I believe they can go back and add you even though it's withdrawn (Backdated to the date the gas started) if it was a clerical error.

    I'd suggest waiting for Malc or Helena from E.ON to respond to this thread during office hours tomorrow or Friday before calling, and take them up if they offer any help, because they seem to be a bit more clued up than some of the phone jockeys.

    This is a bit of an odd one for me, I've not really seen this before :o The reason it's odd is [FONT=&quot]because[/FONT] we don't have any one year fixed tariffs for gas only.

    I'm thinking that both the gas and electricity were on the same tariff, you then switched them to a new fix, but something system wise went wrong with the electricity.

    It's something I can have a look at for you though, it's no problem at all.

    As Raxiel has said, do you have a confirmation email from when you change the tariff's, this would really help me out.

    Just let me know if you need me and I'll get it sorted out for you.

    Thanks. I thought it odd too. I don't have any emails about switching or confirming that I'm on a new tariff. My emails from eon (I've kept them all):
    - meter reading requests (I submit these using the app every month)
    - bill amounts (I pay by monthly DD)
    - an annual summary for gas and electricity each
    - need to choose a new tariff (which I did)

    So not sure what's happened. The switch was to "E.ON Fixed 1 Year £100 Reward" which is supposed to be for dual fuel customers only.

    Am happy to PM you the account details if you need to look into it further.
