This might seem a stupid question, but what would people recommend as an energy drink to be able to wake up first thing in the morning? I suffer with terrible morning grogginess and very cranky with people compared to the night where I'm very alert.. so I'd like something to get me alert first thing and readress the balance.

Any suggestions for an energy drink?

I'm really jealous of those people who can get straight out of bed and "go!".. takes me hours to fully wake up and can't do it now with responsibilities. I need something to help me that is instant ! especially if I wake up late in the mornings..

I'm not looking to drink energy drinks all day-every day.. just for a quick morning boost that will get me going each day that is INSTANT.

Dont use them. They will only end up with you in a cycle needing more and more. Instead, go to bed earlier, wake earlier.

You're looking for a band aid to put on a big gaping wound.
You task should be to identify why you're like that on a morning.
Have you had a history of eating late? Staying up late? Waking up late?
These are the things to re-address.

In the meantime, try not to get hooked on "energy drinks". They are not "energy drinks", they are "rot your body and confuse your brain its energy" drinks.

As others have said, best way is to go to bed earlier and get more sleep.

A mug of coffee first thing and I'm ready to face the world. I am a morning person anyway, my brain is already on high alert even before I get up.

    Red Bull contains taurine... :-/

Supposedly gingko biloba can help concentration too.

But I've never found any of these to make much difference. I'd need hard drugs to get me going! :rotfl: I reckon a good diet, regular exercise and consistent sleep-patterns would be your best bet.
