My mother in law (76) was called by these cowboys 2 years ago and asked if she wanted to switch. In my opinion she a vulnerable lady and shouldn't have been sold to in the first place.
After unsuccessful attempts to void her contract and get her back to her original supplier we decided to let the contract run. 2 years later we are free from the minimum term and able to get her back to her original supplier.
Order was placed and succesfully processed and transfer has been completed.
Just received the final bill today from Pop Telecom and they want to charge her £50 termination admin charges (£25 line £25 broadband)
She is not within her minimum term, I've checked her terms and conditions and it looks like they charge this regardless.
Something feels incredibly unfair about this and I can guarantee they didn't explain this when signing her up in the first place.
Any thoughts on what I could do?
Many thanks
JP

I thought you only paid an exit charge if you weren't going to another provider?

If you changed to them after 13 June 2014 and various things weren't documented right from the beginning, the contract with them is not binding. The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and Consumer Rights Act 2014 give you various rights in this regard.
