Kwik Fit Car Breakdown Cover - Any good?

Hi,
We need some new car breakdown cover - the full works except for European cover.
AA and RAC very expensive, but Kwik Fit is only around £28. Seen some bad online reviews for them though.
Please can anyone who has had to claim make a comment on what the cover/service was like?
Who are they backed by - is it just local independent trucks which
attend?
Or can anyone suggest better alternative options pls.
Many thx.

I was with Green Flag for over twenty years and would recommend them.
"Personally would not go near the one you mentioned"I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
Depends on your situation. I use Nationwide which costs £10 pm but covers everything as well as European cover and also travel insurance. It's part of their FlexPlus account.
I'd probably avoid Kwikfit though, I can't imagine much is covered at that priceRemember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
You can get deals on the AA and RAC to bring it down to that price, but it depends on the level of cover.
You dont want to be on here saying the terms were they take you to the nearest garage or upto 10 miles and break down 100+ miles form home at night. There was a thread on here (i think) like that. They wanted to complain because the breakdown company wouldnt take them 100+ miles home becuase they didnt have the correct cover.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
AutoAid gets a lot of positive reviews. I signed up to them last week for £42 for the year, includes limited european travel.Started 07/15. Car finance £6951 , Mortgage: 261k - Savings: £0! Home improvements are expensive0

Do Kwik Fit take you to one of their branches for repairs? If so I would avoid.
If you need to use break down cover things are usually stressful enough without having to put up with the worry of a poor service so not something where I would necessarily go with the cheapest supplier.0 -
Kwik fit and good in the same sentence?
