"Express Travel" - Free Holiday??

I apparently completed an online questionaire recently and have "won" a free holiday......... to the Canaries, mainland Spain or Switzerland.

Cynically, I am assuming it's a scam of some sort but they have given me a freephone number to call. Before I get involved in one of those sales pitches I wondered if anyone had come across them.

I received a phone call today from Express Travel also congratulating me on winning a free holiday. I was apparantly chosen as the winner in the Greater Manchester area, I don't actually live in Greater Manchester. The guy asked if I was the named person and enquired as to whether I was 25-65, as I am 24 he asked me a second time with a persuading voice encouraging me to lie. I said I was not that age and was told they had some incorrect information. I would like to know how they may have acquired some of my personal details and what the scam was. Does anyone have any ideas?

  • They usually give you a free holiday but you end up paying for flights and they insist on you going full board. Also, if this is the express travel that advertise on ebay, its actually a timeshare thing! You have to commit to a day seminar
