Santander 123: number of accounts

Hi
My wife and I have Santander 123 current accounts. Can we add a third joint account please?
The wording seemed slightly ambiguous on whether a couple could have two single accounts and a joint account OR one of them having a single account and both sharing a joint account?
TIA

You may only hold a maximum of two 1|2|3 Current Accounts, one in your own name and one in joint names.
You can have an account in your name and a joint account.
Your wife can have an account in her name and a joint account.
The joint account is your second account.0 -
That's what we have - one account each and a joint one. Though we're currently closing the joint one, because of the increased charges.0

Unless you have all three maxed out I guess it's not a bad strategy.
Out of interest how much do you have in each account

Two at the max and the joint was just a bill paying/day-to-day one, with a balance in the hundreds. Now we've switched any cashback earning ones into the sole accounts and taken the joint to Tesco. A bit of a pain, though it seems to be happening fairly painlessly.0 -

How many tesco accounts can you have, I've read on here that it's two per person?
Cheers fj0 -

It's only 2 per person if they are all sole accounts. If one is a joint account then you can only have 1 other each so a total of 3 between you.Onawingandaprayer wrote: »Two at the max and the joint was just a bill paying/day-to-day one, with a balance in the hundreds. Just switched our joint account to Nationwide from Tesco. £200 bonus wasn't to be sniffed at, then recommend the other person and get another £200 as well. Best risk free return for virtually no effort.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
My wife and I have held two sole 123 accounts each and one joint for a couple of years.
In August I needed a better home for money held in our Newcastle Home Saver. I logged into my Santander accounts and applied for another Joint 123 a/c.
To my surprise the account was opened instantly, I set up direct debits and payments into the account and I am getting the 3% interest.
Also I needed a current a/c to get a the switching bonus from HSBC and used one of my Tesco a/c I waited 3 months and opened another Tesco a/c to replace the one I closed.0 -
Hi has anyone got more than 2 single accounts?0

2 sole a/cs x 123 for me. No cash for a third/try, yet.
"Not possible" per branch. (Opened online no problem)0
