Child Tax Credit - Child Working part time

Hello
I was wondering if anyone can help. Can children get a part time job - when you are claiming child tax credit for them?
I'm a single parent , work 30 hrs per week and receive child tax credit for my son, he's in his last year of further education ( he's 18). He wants to get a part time job, over christmas to help save up for when he goes to university next year ( hopefully). Does any one know if this will impact on the child tax credit.
Thank you in advanced for any help

As long as he remains in full time education then no it's doesn't impact at all. My son did the same to save for his books, fares etc.Stuck on the carousel in Disneyland's Fantasyland
