Checking PPI pre 1999 creation financial services - help

Hi All,
My wife has found details of a store card she had through Creation Financial Services. The debt was taken on by a solicitor back in 1999 and was fully paid up. Is it just a case of contacting them as per normal, Did I have PPI? route. We do have an account number. Or as this was taken over by a solicitor do I say we just let it go?
Thanks in advance.
Trying my best to save where I can......

They weren't regulated then and can dismiss your complaint.

You could ask the solicitor if they still have any details about this account which shows that PPI was paid, or you could send a SAR to Creation.

I received copies of all statements and the insurance certificate for a store card that was administered by them in 1999.

Creation rejected my complaint so I went to the underwriter who eventually agreed to make an offer. Hope this helps.

Its unlikely that there will be any details held anywhere after 16 years...
And if they have no details, its brick wall time.

Like the other poster says, it is before regulation so they can just write straight back and reject it.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.
