Hey all
Can someone explain to me if Natwest offer a free online business bank account? Usually business bank account offer a year or two free, then start charging a monthly fee.
But according to this:
http://www.natwest.com/personal/online-banking/g3/business-customers.ashx
it says "Online banking is free of charge, and lets you carry out a wide range of regular transactions."
Is that right or am I missing some small-print somewhere? Thx

I don't know the answer to your question, but it only says that online banking is free. It could be mean that there is a monthly fee for running the account but they will let you access it online for no extra charge.0

"Looking to manage your currency accounts, make bulk BACS payments and more? Then Bankline Lite may be the best choice for your business. You have to pay a monthly fee to use Bankline Lite."
So if they explicitly say one account has a monthly fee and the other they describe as "free", it kind of makes sense to assume it is free?
The problem is, if you click either link to see more details, the links are both dead :rotfl: Poor websites, poor information for potential customers.0 -
I joined NatWest Business Banking about three years ago. Opted for an account designed for businesses that do most of their banking online, but from memory there was no fee-free period then.
I remember this because other banks were offering two years fee free, but I opted for NatWest as it was the easiest option at the time!0 -
Radical, but might I suggest asking NatWest themselves? I'm sure a two minute phone call would clarify matters ;-)0

The page that your link routes too is only regarding online banking.
Here is the link for the current account startup package:

Don't know about NatWest but I've got RBS Business Banking Direct which is free and I've had the account about 7 years. You post any cheques to them in pre-paid envelopes. They can't deal with cash but I bank that personally and send them a personal cheque for the tiny amounts I receive.Make £2025 in 2025
