Anyone having trouble refitting the condesnor in a hoover condenser/dryer?

Hi folks,
I have a Hoover condenser dryer about 18 mths old VTC 580 NC and just wondering if anyone else has had trouble refitting the large condenser part after cleaning? Not the water tray but the large condenser part at bottom.
The problem is, is that the plastic at back bottom of condenser goes below that slot that its supposed to fit into, probably over time has moulded into that shape, and no amount of pushing will put it back into place.
I have got it back in again, by taking a pair of pliers and bending that lower plastic bit upwards and now fits ok, will probably happen again though, so an on going problem.
Its just not a good design, otherwise the dryer is working ok, but wondering if anyone else had the same problem?
