She's been threatening to do it for some time

Well, the girlfriend decided to stay at Toad Hall for the weekend and I am currently banished to the study.
She jumped out of bed yesterday morning and set to sorting me out
It seems that keeping the mugs and cups in a cupboard on the opposite side of the kitchen to the coffee machine and kettle is some sort of crime against humanity, and it would seem my crimes are too numerous to list.
What's wrong with keeping the bread bin on top of the fridge, even if it is on the other side of the kitchen to the toaster?
Nothing is where it was. She then moved on to the sitting room.......
First I was organised, then I was re-organised, now I have been un-reorganised. The only room untouched is the study, I have locked the door, there are limits to one's generosity.
She's even taken the spanners out of my bedside table for heavens sake!
When she'd finished moving the furniture round in the sitting room she tried to get me to remove the guitar and amp, I put my foot down I can tell you and it now sits in the back corner, behind one of the sofas. Cuh!
She forced me to go into town yesterday, bad enough in itself, but then announced that I needed to buy new curtains for the sitting room and bedroom, there's nothing wrong with the ones I had, they've been there since the house had windows instead of arrow slits when Henry VIII was on the throne!
True they were a bit threadbare in places but nothing too bad. Have you any idea how expensive some bits of material are? no wonder the previous generations never bothered.
Even the bathroom has been done, I'll never find anything ever again, it doesn't feel like home anymore, it's like living in a hotel or something.

I know how you feel. My place was the subject of an onslaught by my daughter, daughter-in-law and two sisters-in-law. It was like Operation Barbarossa. You can divorce a wife, but not your daughter. And that was after a weekend spent wining and dining them and their other halves.0

Oh God, she's found the other guitars!
Fifteen guitars isn't that bad. I hope she doesn't go poking about in the spare rooms, if she finds the old ride on mower that I'm in the middle of fixing, the reason there were spanners in the bedside table, there's no telling what she might do.One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -

Yes but it will be home for her, and so less nagging to deal with. Better of two evils0 -
I thought i'd read all this already, but i've just checked back and it was a different thread started by Mrs Toad saying i wish he'd get back in his pond.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

Barbarossa, that's the one!
I must admit that I have been contemplating a new girlfriend this past day or two but this one is pleasing on the eye and she can drive the boat really well. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -
