I activated it yesterday, & it confirms my settings. Tested it out today via a simple Google search...

1) I thought the results wouldnt show but they did.

2. When I clicked on one of the results, I got this screen (thankfully!)

3) But when I clicked on images, I got full on porno images (which I cant post here for obvious reason).

So why isnt this VM Web safe filter hiding these images from my PC/laptop?

because google images isn't a blocked site probably, and google safesearch isn't doing as expected. https (ie encrypted browsing) can also stop filtering working.

Oh dear. Kneejerk political non-solution bound to have massive issues turns out to be a non-solution that has massive issues. Who, indeed, would have thought it was unworkable[STRIKE]apart from all the people who said from the off that it was unworkable[/STRIKE]?

I expect that googles cache of pages won't be blocked either as that too will be served by google which they simply couldn't block.

My biggest surprise is that anybody is surprised that bypassing child protection filters is simply childs play.

I'm sure that experience of using proxies to bypass copyright protection blocking will come in very handy and the knowhow passed on with an efficiency the teachers could only dream of.

Of course, that's absolutely not by-passable by children in a few clicks.

    Absolutely not.
