Southampton town quay parking eye

Hi all,

I've recieved a parking eye charge dated 29/11/13 20:27 until 22:50 for parking at associated british ports town quay Southampton. The first notice was sent on 06/12/13 and a reminder 15/12/13. It says I have to pay £100 discounted to £60 if paid before 20/12/13 if not paid in full by 03/01/14.

I've had a read about and everyone is saying don't pay it's fraud but these where dated a while ago. Can someone clarify this for me if I need to pay or it's just a complete con.

Thanks in advance

  • Right what you need to do is send an appeal straight away to Parking eye

Do it on anything you like such as something like you didnt see the signs, etc

Dont delay get it on their website tonight and send a copy in the post!. but you dont need to pay this

  • Hi thanks for you help just going to email now. It was because the machine wasn't accepting the money a ticket couldn't be bought.
  • Well thats fine for an initial appeal
It WILL be rejected, when they do reject DO NOT do a popla appeal on your own, we will help you word it,.

No you dont email them, they dont accept them by email, you log it here https://www.parkingeye.co.uk/Appeal , also copy in the post to! just to be on the safe side,

Come back when you get the "popla code"

Am I in time to tell you NOT to write as driver?!!

Write as the registered keeper ONLY. Read the 'newbies read this first' thread to see how to word an appeal like this.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I did because it's Town Quay which is where I think Biker Paul on pepipoo got his fake PCN - the one he has now issued a personal costs notification over! It's a place with no ''keeper liability'' under POFA2012 as I think it's not relevant land under the Act, hence why I thought the OP should not name the driver.

  • It's always best to read through to try to find some good advice and the correct way to go forward which has help. As you know there is so much out there so making my own thread is a little easier :-)
