Household income for free replacement boiler

Hello there. I'm hoping someone can help as I'm getting more and more confused about this. I live in a private rental and I have just started work. We've had a phone call from some free boiler place saying the income needs to be less than £15860 including BOTH ctc and wtc - which we are.

The landlord however has just text asking how much our income is as he wants us to go for the new boiler. He says though that our income needs to be £15910 and it only includes ctc.

Can someone please help?

As I understand it, household income needs to be under £15860, and you need to be in receipt of a qualifying benefit (ctc is a qualifying benefit on its own, wtc also qualifies if other conditions are met). I believe the actual amounts paid to you by the benefits agency (ctc/wtc etc) can be ignored, it's just the income from work that needs to be below the threshhold.

Yep child tax credit with a joint income below 15860. I'd keep it quiet though this will be coming off the increased bills everyones wingeing about!
