For anyone who has more than one MBNA card ie Virgin, Abbey etc it makes sense to cancel all but one card and consolidate the credit limit.
Ask to swap the cancelled cards credit limit to the card you will be keeping. That way at least you only pay the fee once. Not sure of full list of MBNA cards... Does anyone know? I am sure I have seen a list on threads before.0 -
smartsaver - you don't have to cancel them, just leave £100 limit on them?0

Isn't it better for your credit rating to cancel ???smartsaver - you don't have to cancel them, just leave £100 limit on them?0 -
That's only a *very* small list of MBNA cards. They offer hundreds more through trade unions, clubs, charities, sports teams and universities to name just a few organisations. I'd be interested to know if anyone does have the complete list for MBNA.MBNA provide a list here.0 -
If you click through the "More choices" link at the bottom of each box you will find more listed. In the case of "Irish Cards" it even goes to a second level. That's only a *very* small list of MBNA cards.
My very quick and inaccurate count made it 76 cards. It might not be definitive but that should be enough to keep credit card shufflers busy for a while.0 -
Smart saver - I believe the credit rating issue is to do with the toal amount of existing credit, so an extra £100 shouldn't hurt...0
