PPI & Santander

Does any one know if Santander are within their rights for he following. My father recently contacted them recently only to be told that they do not keep records any longer than seven years. Surely the reason behind the claims was to get back monies owed no matter how long ago

    due to data protection banks are only allowed to keep any information on closed accounts 6 years from the account closure. you can request a SAR to see if there is any information.
    However if you are sure that he was misold PPI I am sure you have the account details et al.
