monument/compucredit/barclay credit card ppi

Hi i was wondering if anyone can help. I took out a monument credit card years ago, so i wrote to monument back in June to see if i could reclaim my ppi. I then received letter back from barclay card saying they were looking into it with a final letter in August saying they had passed my information on to compucredit. I wrote to compucredit last month as i have had no correspondence from them and not sure they have my information from barclay, to this day i have not heard from them. Today i email barclay card to ask for conformation from them to say they had passed on my information. Can anyone tell me if they have had this problem from compucredit? does anyone have an email address from them? Do you think i should write to FOS?

Hi there
If you have a local Barclays branch nearby, maybe they can check on the systems for you.
If you get no joy, then complain to the FOS anyway, and make it clear that you have not received any correspondence since August, and they have had more than ample time, but you are concerned because you are aware there is just 6 months as from the final decision letter to bring your complaint to them.
Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

A Barclays branch probably won't be able to help as Barclays sold Monument to Compucredit in June 2007 and Compucredit have since sold it on.
I think that jilly1511 needs to find out who currently own the Monument accounts (not that there are any active ones, the current owners are just collecting the outstanding debts).
The FOS need a final response letter before looking into a complaint so jilly1511 does need to get such a letter somehow from Monument.
I'm assuming you no longer owe them any money jilly1511 ?0
