can somebody give me a helping guide to decent, reputable HGV training companies.
I want to start my training but after being bombarded by broker companies, i need advice whether to go to just a private firm or give the brokers a go.
Im in merseyside so im quite central to either.
thanks for any help given

Avoid brokers at all cost. They screw the training provider over, and probably will you too.
There's some recommended ones listed here http://www.trucknetuk.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=44667&p=503949#p503949
That forum is worth checking out anyway.
Good luck.0 -

Think long and hard before you part with your hard-earned cash. Jobs are not that widely available, the hours are long and the pay is not that wonderful. Will probably be stuck with agency work until you reach the magic 2 years of having your licences.
With the medical, theory test, lessons and tests for the different classes and then the DCPC, it's an awful lot of money with no guarantee at the end of it.0 -

Your right.
After 37 years, I would say, don't bother taking your HGV licence, unless you want to work long hours for low pay, not see your family, put up with all the crap at RDC's, (The bits Joe public don't see or care about when they do their weekly shop.) and basically be treated lower than a snakes belly wherever you go.That's my mutt in the picture above.0
