Hi all,
Ok. I've been on ESA for a few years now, I've usually received it and passed all the assessments without a problem. However, I've received a letter stating that they held a tribunal and they've ruled that I'm not entitled to ESA anymore.
I'm going to appeal it, obviously, but if I don't win the appeal could I theoretically reapply for ESA in six months time, supply a backdated medical certificate from my doctor going back six months, would I then receive six months backdated ESA? (In this case I'm not fit for work, so I won't, nor will I apply for another government support)
Thank you very much.

No. A claim can be backdated for three months maximum0

When the letter says they "held a tribunal", did you appeal a decline after a medical and you chose a paper hearing rather than an oral one?0

As per the previous comment... confused... did you appeal a decision... and have a paper based tribunal? You speak of the tribunal dismissively like it wasn't upon your request and you didn't attend? Check the letter (presumably from DWP?.. or is it the tribunals service)"Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0
