NPower meter reading

Might sound a bit thick asking this (!) but here goes......
had a card through the other day asking for a meter reading.
it says on a digital meter, not to mention 'red boxes/numbers' but my reading on my meter reads (in total) the following;
06951.7
so is this the number I put on? (Its the mention of 'red boxes' that has confused me as my meter hasnt any)
also on the front of the card it mentions ringing the freephone number to leave my reading 'quoting the number (s) below;
Gas MPR ref (but i dont have gas supplied at mine at all)
and Electric MPAN ref, but cannot find such a number on my meter, so should they have put it on?
As I say, might sound a bit thick, but I wish they would make it clearer what they are asking for so I wouldnt have to search around for the required information!

The red boxes/numbers are the ones after the decimal point, so in your case the reading to submit is 06951.
The MPAN will be shown on your bills and will look like this:
