    It dies/loses all the charge as soon as anything is plugged into it. :(

    Sounds like their is a short somewhere inside it or the battery has had it. Did it do that from when you bought it or was it fine for a while to start with.

    Sounds like their is a short somewhere inside it or the battery has had it. Did it do that from when you bought it or was it fine for a while to start with.

    It was fine for about a year then started to lose power when big speakers or big headphones were plugged in but now it loses all power when anything is plugged into it.

    Hmmm, that is an odd one.:huh:

    It's most likely the battery has had it but I wouldn't rule out a faulty speaker connection damaging the iPod jack and causing a short.

    Neither can be fixed by yourself and you'd need to find a 3rd repairer and see what they say.

    Replacing the battery is not something I could do myself? That's a shame - it looked like a cheap option.
