I went through PPI Adviceline (money made simple). I was successful and won my claims..i was charged over £100 for a £180 win, 30 % on a £600 win and never recieved the £4800 win. Trading standards now involved..My advice Claim yourself its easy and any returns will come directly to you. Please dont fall into the same trap as me, there are hundreds of companies offering to help you. Thats because its easy money

Did you not get the money because you had arrears/defaults or amounts written off?

  • If anybody is thinking about using this company then please be warned!!

Firstly they take an upfront fee of £495 for each account you want them to look into!!! Then if they are successful with your claim they ask for 30% plus VAT of the amount you have won back!!! This payment has to be made to them within 7 days of them informing you that your claim has been successful. Bearing in mind that you have to wait for the Bank to send you the cheque!!! If it is not paid within the 7 days then they send your account to the debt department!!! How can you make a payment to them before you have even received your refund???

I told the adviser that i could not afford to make the payment until i had received my refund. He told me if i didnt make a payment then collections would phone me 10 times a day!! He was so rude and aggressive towards me.
  • I'm really worried as i've gone through PPI adviceline, and have been trying to contact them for weeks, having not heard from them in months. I received a letter from my bank informing me that they'll pay me and close the case within 28 days, however what happens with the PPI adviceline? I've read multiple complaints about them and especially concerned that they inform you that you have to pay within 7 days? Surely as they were actin on my behalf, they should be in contact regarding my claim? Is there anything I can do as i've signed with them, but haven't paid them anything? Advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks :) ps) would not recommend them to anyone!

All you can do is check the the terms of the contract you've signed with them to determine exactly what percentage of your redress this company will want for "representing" you in this matter. Make sure to put this amount to one side (plus VAT) in readiness for their inevitable demand for payment.
  • hi there guys, i currently work @ ppi adviceline in bradford so please listen carefully......
When you have sent the acceptance form in directly to the bank that is attached to your invoice they will pay out within 28 working days.....but, if you are with capital one or barclays, they send the cheque direct to us and we take our cut (25% - 30%) before sending it to you. if you have an ongoing debt with your lender the banks (even though ppi adviceline do not tell you this) have the right to reserve and monies that you owe and they will take it out of your refund.....disgusting i know...

secondly, even though i have asked countless times for the invoice to be changed as it says 'strictly 7 days for payment' they send you the invoice as soon as they have received an offer (that they do not check to see if it is fair)

this company also does not tell you that they wait until your in recipt of refund but they ask for a hold charge( this is !!!!!!!! as there is nothing on the system to hold the account to stop people ringing you) they just want the money.

thirdly, they get us to hassle you as customers every seven days to ask for payment. even though you havnt been in recipt of payment. we have to make 100,000 a month before we are paid so we have to do what we can to get our money. this is unfair i know.

please if you have had ppi on your account you can do this yourself. it costs nothing. just a stamp direct to you lender. i hate this company so much. i leave in two days hence the reason im posting this.

the guys who work there care nothing about customers. only numbers.

    hope this helps guys.

ps: if you still havnt been paid after 60 days they will send your account to forteus legal and they will have your credit score ruined. trust me. x
