I won't bore you all with the details of my situation, I just thought I'd share something that might be useful to other people who are not getting adequate responses to complaints regarding JSA.
From my farce, I have peiced together that basically you need to do something like the following steps ..
1) If after somethings gone wrong / you had to chase something up, you're not getting decent responses, ring the main number and tell them you want to make a complaint. Give the details etc. Take note of the date as well.
They have 10 days to resond, although it may just be an acknowledgement of the complaint, it should give some sort of time scale.
2) If no full response actualy turns up (or the time scale is unfair, or something else objectionable), complain to the chief excutives office, giving the date of your previous complaint and any neccasary details.
Chief Executive
DWP
Caxton House.
6-12 Tothill Street.
London. SW1H 2NS
3) If no response if forthcoming, or is inadequate, then complain to the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman 0345 015 4033.
Don't let them keep sending you around in dizzying internal repeats. Do these two internal comaplaints only then take it to the PHSO.
Otherwise you could end up in a similar 6 month long film noir to me; 1 appeal supposedly in, 1 complaint about the appeal not progressing in, 4 complaints about total failure to respond to all the other complaints in!

You have missed out a stage (before Stage 2) - the second stage is to complain to the District Manager. If you complain to the Chief Executive without doing this, your complaint will simply be passed back to the DM.0

any time you state that you are making a complaint (i.e the first stage i mention) it should be passed to the district maanger to deal with as an offical complaint.0
