Insured with Swift cover who told me to phone AA Autowindshields, knew I was on a downer straight away as had trouble with them in the past.

Anyhow chap came and did the job of replacing front windscreen, came to ask for insurance details etc then sign off.

Noticed straight away a dent and the a deep scratch down to the metal right where he would have been working, he saw me looking at it and straight away " wasnt me I didnt do it !", oh right so the tooth fairies did it then " it probably happened when the windscreen got damaged " highly unlikely seeing as it was about 6 months ago and it hadnt rusted at all !

So paid £65 for a *uckwit to damage my car.

So now goto go through the ball ache of getting a quote to repair and respray the whole bonnet, just as I was looking to sell the car :mad:

These guys normally complete a car condition check sheet before they work on cars, did he? If he did damage your car, why did you then sign the satisfaction sheet and pay?

Yes they did a condition check and no comment was made then on the job sheet.

I marked the job sheet after job was finished that damage had been done in the after work check sheet.
