British Credit Trust

Hi,

I haven't made my monthly payment on my Car to British Credit Trust as i am going to Voluntary Terminate my agreement.

They normally send letters very quick once a payment is missed but it's been 10 days and I've heard nothing or had nothing, does anyone know if they are still in business or have they gone bust and closed down (hope so).

I'm not going to phone them just in case.

I am sure you mean that you are going to pay the balance and close the account soI found this by using this search engine called Google, they are in business but not providing credit to new clients, you can pay online as well.

They are too busy wrecking your credit file to worry about the missed payments.

You need to contact them to terminate the agreement, You cant just stop paying. Have you given them the car?

    Hi All,

I spoke to a very nice lady today from BCT's legal department and she is letting us pay our normal monthly payment on our car of £229.00 a month if we want to from the end of this month, and then reviewing things every 3 months.

We also have the option to Voluntary Surrender the car if we want, but it has gone past the stage were we can Voluntary Terminate it, she is going to call me in a weeks time to see what we have decided to do.

I'm undecided as to what to do for the best.
  • How can it go past the stage where you can VT it? You reach VT stage and once you've got there it applies until you've paid off the car.

BTW by deciding not to make the payment because you were going to VT it, you now have a missed payment or late payment mark on your credit file whether you now make one or not.....that'll help any future credit applications.
