Advice on which Camcorder/Camera to buy?

Hi all,
I'm looking to buy a new Camcorder, as I like to do some vlogging, and just for travelling purposes, and wanted one that had HD Recording.
I was looking at Pocket Cams such as the Samsung HMX-U20 and the Sanyo Xacti PD1/PD2 since they have optical zoom, but I've heard stabilisation and focusing is a pain.
I've also used the Canon Legria HF R106 and this was great albeit not being compact. I've heard some compact cameras are also good at video recording, as the photo ability is also a major plus.
My buget is around £100, being able to stretch to £150 if needed.
