Sky Card, did they charge PPI?

I got a Skycard (Barclays were the company doing it), in 2006. I applied for it through the interactive section on my Skybox.
In 2009 the cards were withdrawn and all holders were issued with a new barclaycard gold Mastercard.
After having some success in reclaiming PPI from another card I thought I would look into the possibility of getting some back on this one, and the previous skycard.
When I checked the receipts and small print, however, I found that I had not been paying ppi, but rather a payment break plan, which the Ts&Cs states "is not an insurance".
It then goes on to tell me what is covered by my pbp, which looks incredibly similar to a ppi to my inexperienced eye.
Has anyone else had any luck with this company, or any advice?

An update on the PBP.
I contacted Barclays and the operator agreed that PBP WAS the same as PPI.
She said the customer services division would send me a response within 10 days, and sure enough a letter arrived within that time frame.
It says I can expect a full response within 30 days and they will then let me know if I am entitled to any refund.
Watch this space..........but don't hold your breath.0
