Its best not to use a template letter. Template letters have lower success rates than personalised letters. By all means, use one as a starting point but make sure you remove reasons not applicable (as leaving in reasons which are easily proven to be wrong can harm your complaint) and make sure you add a few sentences in your own words as you want the complaints handler to be sympathetic to you and not consider you another try on using the same template letter they have seen a dozen times that week already. Even the FOS say they prefer to see complaints in your own words.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0

Thanks:D
Good idea, I will get on with a self written one, do I need to quote anything in particular or do I just say it how it is, I believe I was mis-sold insurance and details of everything I know or can remember.
I have very little stuff relating to a credit card, dunno when I took it out ect. this is all very complicated and although moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance#step3
this is helpful I am still confused:huh:ROMANES EUNT DOMUS!0 -

Just ask that the company in question refund your PPI payments with interest and give your reasons for believing it was mis-sold.
Nothing more tedious than reading 'The salesman was pushy' and 'I'd like to claim 8% interest' etc.
This is boring and may get left till last to be answered; just make your point clear and ask what they will offer you, as you are fully aware of your rights with the recent publicity - if you have been mis-sold you'll get back what they have to pay anyhow.0 -
Thanks for that info.
Just say it how it was, not waffling,.
Thanks loan ranger, I was worried I'd have to write it all in special official speak with references to this and that subsection 34b ect
