International Tracking with Royal Mail Airsure

I sent someththing to Austria with Airsure, unaware that they are slower over Christmas just like regular mail. After I realised that Austria has three days of holidays as well as the long Christmas weekend (Christmas Eve and December 31st), I began to check regularly. Since last Wednesday, two days after posting, the tracking service has said the same thing:
It's on its way. Your item, posted on 20/12/10 with reference ********** has been passed to the overseas postal service for delivery in AUSTRIA.
I'm wondering if the delivery is also tracked through the Royal Mail website; how do I know when it's been delivered?I also checked the Austrian postal website but the number is not recognised there.

In short no.
No RM international service guarantees tracking. Although with Airsure, I find more items track than with ISF.
Some countries are excellent, Saudi, UAE and Hong Kong, but I have not had anything in Europe (other than France) show as delivered.0 -
its down to the receiving countries postal service to supply RM with the updated tracking data0

the site will update when they have the data
they arent going to start phoning other countries to try and get an answer
the tracking should update at the receiving countries delivery office
you can try putting the tracking number into Austria posts site0 -

I posted to the Netherlands and it arrved within a week and said it was delivered.
I posted to Czech Republic and the same message has been displaying for 3 weeks so I am a little worried and was also thinking of calling them but not sure what that will do.Debt free

Yea, I read on another forum some countres don't deliver it and the buyer has to collect it. I will leave it for now but I really hope they get it.Debt free
