concessions for DLA and/or income support

I remember there was a thread that amassed a lot of concession information, to what was available to those on DLA and/or income support.

Could someone please provide that link as I am trying to gather as much as possible for a future magazine article. As many people have no idea of what is available, and only gain this knowledge after many years.

You might like to know, though, that people on DLA High Rate Mobility Component can get assistance to buy a car through the Motability Scheme. Motability customers can also get discounts on holidays, and buy Gift Vouchers for high street shops at discount prices, see:

Also, Vauxhall give good discounts on new cars for blue badge holders

Thanyou LazyDaisy, this is a new one for me.

Is it only available to those that have used their mobility component on motability, as you need a Motability Customer reference.

Hi, yes, you have to use the mobility component of your DLA to get a Motability car. The discounts are only available to Motability customers.

You don't have to be a Motability customer to get the discount on a new Vauxhall car though, just a blue badge holder - it can be as much as 20% so it is worth haggling.
