Does lots of C/A affect credit rating?

Question as title.

Reason is because I have got a lloyds account which is being used less and less. Have recently opened an IF current account as I have savings there and would like to open a citibank C/A so I can get a $ savings account.

I doubt they would even appear on the credit report unless they have an overdraft facility on them.

They do appear on the credit report, and I think this is true even if there is no overdraft facility asked for, judging by my experience, probably because they have to check your address against the electoral roll for money laundering regs. I don't think it causes any problems with credit card apps though.

They will do a search with credit reference agencies in your suitability for a current account but this search will only be shown on there records for a year.
