Anyone heard of INTERVAL INTERNATIONAL Or Alpha Panareti?

Hi everyone, we are about to buy a timeshare in Interval International (II) with Alpha Panareti (Coral Bay Resort) but before we complete the deal I would like to find out if anyone has had any negative or positive experiences with them?

Ive done some research and found there to be many mixed reviews. People who bought into it for the sake of cheap holidays in quality hotels found it extremely hard to book the holidays the wanted, and others who bought into the timeshare mainly for buying a property and having the deposit knocked off were not pleased with the quality of the finish of their properties or did not think they were getting their moneys worth for maintenance.
I would like to add that there have been some positive feedback on the few forums Ive found discussing II and Panareti but there were also some negatives as well.

We have to make the decision by next week Wednesday and any advice from experience of either of the Two would be much appreciated.

Thankx

My advice to you if you have any negative thoughts about it steer clear. Have you done a Google search of Interval International? Might be worth a try.

    Just my 2 cents worth.

Hi yes Ive done countless searches on them on Google, yahoo and askjeeves but most of what comes up has been information on what they are and do. I have only found 2 forums so far where they have been discussed in detail so far thats why I thought Id see if anyone on MSE had experience of either. Thing is we are moving to Cyprus next year and this was going to be a way for us to kill 2 birds with one stone, excuse the pun lol

Be very careful. Timeshare is the biggest racket going no matter what company it is. Watch out for the annual fees (Maintenance Charges ) for the price of these you could get a good holiday.
Plus how many thousands are you going to pay for this Timeshare ?
At the moment people are desperate to get shut of their Timeshare owing to broken promises and increased maintenance fees. They are finding it very difficult to get rid of this financial burden.
You can get the same standard of accomodation without joining any of these schemes and at a fraction of the price.
Remember how to spot a lying Timeshare rep. It is when they open their mouth and start speaking to you .

Go onto more Timeshare sites and do your research, but I think you will find more negatives than positives
Remember a Timeshare is for life.

Thank you Costapkt for your honest advice. You are very correct when you say that I will find more negatives than positives out there. I trawled the internet for hours yesterday before I could find 1 forum and Review site discussing this timeshare company..and many were negatives rather than positives..that should have told me something really, but I wanted to be double sure before going into such a deal for a such a large amount of money. As we are definately moving to Cyprus next year id rather take a bet on putting that money towards our own property out there *which is the main reason I initially considered it because we were told the full amount we paid for the shares would be taken off a property when we wanted to finally buy one by the developer, Panareti who's partner was II* than towards a 50/50 chance that I will be sinking my money into holidays I might never be able to take or living in a property thats substandard and hard to resale.

Consequently, we finally decided this morning to call the deal off and cancel the agreement whilst we were still within our 14 day period. Just sent the cancellation letter off by recorded delivery *plus faxed it to them & emailed lol cant be too careful* Ive heard about these timeshare deals/schemes years ago but never had been accosted by one before. We had our suspicions about them but after a long presentation did start seeing the pros in entering a contract with them. When doing my initial research I was more focused on finding out if they were a legit genuine Company by doing traces on them on Companies House, and making sure my money would be refundable if the company ever went into Liquidation but not looking into other timeshare holders experience of the company. This was a big mistake, and Im very glad I did my research a little more before going through with it...I knew something just didnt feel right about it, and Im glad I went with my deep gut feelings. :)

Thanks again for the advice Guys.

You have made the right decision, once you are in a Timeshare deal it is very hard if not impossible to get out of. Keep your money away from them and spend it on something sensible!!!!!

If you have not done so already have a look at Timesharetalk Forum there might not be much on there about your particular company. But there is plenty of info on others and it will show you what scams and pitfalls there are out there.
  • I know this thread is old but I was doing a search and this came up. If you google Panaretti now under bankruptcy it doesn't look good. I bought in when it first started over 10 years ago and it has steadily gone downhill. The best thing that can happen now is for it to fall into new hands so that standards out there improve. We had some good holidays and this year a couple of people have hired my outstanding weeks so no monies lost so far.
