Cheapest Insurance For 21 Yr Old With Bmw?

Options
Hya. Please does anyone know the cheapest place for car insurance for a 21 yr old for a BMW. He has been driving a few years. No claims, but never had insurance in his own name. Thanks

That kind of depends on what BMW it is. My first port of call would be a price checking site like confused.com. If it's a high powered, desirable BMW (say a 323, 328 or M3 for example), I'd then try an insurance broker.

There is unfortunately no "cheapest insurer" - for a start many insurers review/ change their rates on a weekly basis if not more often.

The only way to get the cheapest quote is to go round all the insurers on the internet/ by phone and get quotes from each of them. You could try an agrigator like confused.com but given the slating they have received recently I personally would just do the leg work myself.

Thanks very much. Will try them all. Don`t need it quite yet, but it would be good to get some quotes. Many thanks

I am a 21 year old who drives a BMW. I have been driving it 2 and a half years though. I am with tesco, and the price is pretty good. Confused.com was very helpful too.

What kind of BMW is it?

Hya. Do you mind me asking, are you insured on your own name, and roughly how much is your insurance? We did have my son on our name up until about a year ago, and his insurance was £1200, with Tesco using our no claims.

    Hi

I am insured on my own name, and have been since getting my first car. I have four years no claims bonus, and my insurance is around £310. This is with business use, another named driver and some modification. It would be around £260 otherwise I think.

My BMW is an e30 316. What year is your son's?

A 316 should be fine. Honestly, try one of the price checking sites for an idea of costs. You've got nothing to lose.

At 21, I was driving a Group 16 car in my own name (hot hatch), and not paying much more than £1200 fully comp.
