student finance payments status blocked

Options
Logged in to student finance as has become my daily habit in hope of seeing a change
I finally see under corresespondence that a payments letter has been generated today
I cant download the gif as the page wont load so will have to wait for the postman I guess
However under the payments tabs I can see this so why are payments showing as blocked ?

  • I can't say why yours are blocked but

Mine were blocked last year because for some reason they thought my NI number belonged to someone else and they wouldn't pay until I went to an interview to prove I was born in the UK! How HUMILIATING!!

The woman at the job centre (who treated me like a piece of crap it has to be said) said my NI number needed "upgrading" no idea why, it was good enough to give me a student loan back in 2002 and 2003, allow me to pay NI and occupational pension AND start taking deductions from my wages for said student loan!

  • Thanks for the info
Hubby is on JSA at the moment he will be signing off from Monday when he starts so is no longer seeking work
DWP pay his JSA so maybe he wont need checking as hes recently had a face to face with them ?
