Dial-A-TV?

I'm considering renting a TV and DVD recorder/HD recorder until I can afford to buy one. I saw and ad for this company in the local free ad paper:

Has anyone had any good/bad experiences with them?

Take care with this one. Work out what it costs for a years rental and when you can get out of the contract. Second hand TV and VCR are not too dear.
If you live in a city try a recyling group.

  • Freecycle is a great place to try. Or you could do one better than renting it and go to a rental company shop and BUY an ex rental. I did this a few years back because all the TVs at the time were silver and I wanted a black one. I got a year's warranty with it and it is still working well. I think it was Granada I went to, now known as "box clever" you will get a top spec TV for a fraction of the new price.
