Cannot see this has already been posted sorry if it has:
Holidaymakers stranded in Turkey
Up to 150 people have been left stranded in Turkey after the collapse of a north London-based tour operator.
K&S Travel, which also trades under the name Travel Turkey, organises package tours to the country through flights chartered with Onur Air.
A K&S Travel spokesman said the firm would organise flights for those abroad when their holidays were completed.
It is thought more than 85,000 people have been left stranded abroad after Friday's collapse of XL Leisure Group.
XL is the UK's third largest tour operator.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said the holidaymakers were covered by the Atol protection scheme and will be entitled to a full refund. The CAA is understood to be rechartering planes from Onur to ensure the return of K&S passengers, most of whom are in the resort of Bodrum. But 460 people who have future holidays booked through K&S Travel will have their travel plans cancelled.

So another small holiday company gone, make you wonder if everyone will end up just using high street trevel agents in future? Last year we booked ourselves online but have booked for next year through travelagent. We do not have ( and cannot get ) a credit card so seems the only way to protect our money is going through agent.

If you used a credit card to book direct with them, contact your credit card company and tell them you want to make a claim under section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act. If you paid by cheque or debit card the download a claim form from the CAA website and send it off with proof of payment and you will get a full refund0

I am in the same situation and rang up the Credit Card company and they will get back to me in 3-5 days in reference to the refund. I am not sure how long it takes? Does anyone know? I was due to go on the 10th Ocotber, and would still like to go around or on that date as obviously I had the holiday booked with work? But atleast we do get our money back. Firstly if you paid by credit card, if not, they are part of ATOL so you will get refunded rest assured.0 -
Marg, Firstly talk to the credit card company. They are very helpful and will put a claim in to get the money refunded. Secondly, go on www.atol.org.uk and download a form. You wont need to do this if you used a credit and not a debit card. Im not sure how long it will take to get the money back but you will get it back and that is the main thing. If anyone know's how long this procedure takes, please let us know!0

Hi thanks to everyone who replied, I have spoken to my credit card company, who are going to send me a claim form. They advised me it could take at least 14 days before this is sent out to me as the Department that is dealing with these claims is extremly busy at the moment,
I will update you when I have any further details.

Hi - still waiting for the claim form, has anyone else experienced delays? I requested the form on 15th September and have chased them up again today only to be told it is still being investigated even though they located the payment on my account on 15th September.
