Thanks for the comment Missy. Feeling really good about all this debt sorting at the mo.

I finally transferred my final credit card payment to 0% yesterday. So that's all credit card debt on 0% (ending next April I think). Loans to be repayed can not be paid in part which is a shame, it's either all or nothing, so I'm continuing my savings additions until I can afford to pay one off. Once my loans are paid off I'll be a millionaire (well not literally) but I pay around £420 in loans a month.

Hopefully soon I'll put my first updated signature on here - interested to see the changes, however small they are. :j

£28.20 made so far on Amazon book sales.
£20.84 made on recent eBay sales (by the time you take off postage etc.)
£24.44 from CD sales to Music Magpie, although because of postage strikes they don't appear to have received it yet.
Total 'extra' money made this month = £73.48 (incl. awaiting Music Magpie payment).
Not bad considering I've also cut down on spending this month too - looking forward to a signature update, but will wait until 13th Oct so I have a 'full month' on the diary.

Just been reading the PAD (Payment A Day) Forum pages - very inspiring. Although think I will make lump sum payments - maybe three a month (just to be round numbers could do 10th, 20th and 30th). My thinking is that my credit card could really benefit from these sort of payments. We'll see how things go on the 10th!!

Hi RS welcome to diaryland. You are making good progress - and the payment a day thread can be good. Personally I put my money in savings during the 0% period but I know for some people that can then be a source of temptation so you need to do what is right for you.

Join in with some other diaires and challenges as well and you will soon build up a support network! All the best. Have a look at the Make £10 a day challenge on the DFW board for other ideas of how to make money - it has really made a massive difference to us!

Quite enjoying the dooyoo search pages - I've posted some reviews already, will be a long time before I get to 50,000 points (£50) but quite exciting.

I got a bit excited last night and started changing my signature - prematurely though. I'm gonna hold off until the 13th as that gives me a full month.

Whilst debt reduction will not be huge, I have already added my savings to the signature which was £0 this time last month!

Car Tax due end of this month - this could be the first month that I have not put it on my credit card in ages!!

Speaking of credit cards, this week saw me finally pay off the £30 that I have had on my Lloyds card for what seems like an age - no idea why I was paying off the min. balance each month. Also, have transferred the balance of my NatWest card to my Tesco card which has 0% until April 2010. AND linking to be the Payment A Day posts, I've paid £10 towards my Tesco card - this equates to an extra £1 per day of the month - not much, but 'every little helps'!! hehe

3 days until I re-calculate my current finances!! signature update pending

Well here it is - the updated signature, feels like such a big moment!

To be honest I'm slightly disappointed, although (without making excuses) I feel I can justify the bits I am most disappointed with.

Credit Card debt is down by £200. As I mentioned in the previous post, I now have only one credit card, which does not sit in my wallet. I have paid off another (all be it a small debt on there), and transferred the other to the 0% on my main card.

My loan is just less than £400 down. This is through making the payments and nothing else. Like I have said previously, my loan providers won't take 'part payments', it's either the settlement figure or nothing so will keep chiseling away at this.

Really disappointed with the overdraft amount. £10 less is nothing. I did make a £10 payment to my credit card which was on top of the min. payment as part of the Payment A Day challenge. Not quite sure what to do here as I haven't really spent too much this month. One thing to look forward to is a double payment of my pay rise next month. I was due to get it this month (£130 extra) but it didn't go through in time. So on 23rd I am expecting a healthy £260 extra in my bank!! No doubt I will be very excited about that so will no doubt post it here!!

Well that's my update for today. I suppose the good news is my debt is nearly £700 less than this time last month. Just need to work on the overdraft!!
