in Credit cards
Hi All
We have been using a worldpay card machine to accept payments in our business over the phone and in person for some time now with no issues.
UNTIL recently when we accepted payments for some larger amounts for products to be picked up from us unknown to us that later on we found out that the cards had been either stolen or similar. Now worldpay want us to pay the full amounts back with additional charges mounting to around 18k.
We are only a small business and this is a big blow to us if anyone has had anything similar like this happen to them would love to hear from you.
Ryan.

I am guessing here that these were not chip/pin transactions but that you accepted these large value orders over the phone then simply allowed the goods to be picked up. Very foolish of you. You will be liable as you have not followed the proper procedures.
Just how large are these large amounts?
How is the £18K in charges to you justified?
You are not a credit card fraud victim. You are a victim of your own stupidity and/or greed.
Also, this post has absolutely nothing to do with stoozing,0 -

You will have to suffer the loss sadly. In hindsight the unusually purchases should've rung some alarm bells.
Moving forward there is some useful advice here https://www.mobiletransaction.org/card-not-present-transactions/0
