Hi does anyone have any experience in reclaiming stamp duty.
I bought a house in 2016. It was an additional property and i paid the higher stamp duty on it.
I am now going to sell it and move in with parents. Would i be able to get a refund on the higher stamp duty fee i paid as i am now selling it.
The website is very confusing.
Thanks

It doesn't work like that. You can reclaim the higher rate SDLT you paid for the 2nd property if you sell your first property, leaving your second property as your main residence.
As far as I understand you still own your first property, and selling the 2nd property, in which case you get zilch back.0 -
From what you describe you will not be entitled to a refund.
